Heroes, Medium, Supernatural, and Smallville

Heroes.  How you disappoint me.  You lost it somewhere in the writer’s strike and just never really “got it” back.  Now they are going to all be hunted?  Haven’t we done this a million times before in other movies/tv?  Your first season wasn’t anything at all like other shows, so why go that way?  I don’t know how much longer I can keep watching.  I pray you get better again.

Medium.  I love that Medium is back.  Watching the episode was like eating warm comfort food.  Everything is nice, warm, and familiar.  If you keep this up, I’m going to be hooked all over again.  :-)

Supernatural.  I don’t know who the writers are, but they’ve never let me down.  Every episode is about a “hunt” but they still temp your curiosity bringing up the psychic powers from time to time.  Whoever you are, I thank you for writing such good episodes that I continue to watch you.  :-)

Smallville.  /Yawn  Yeah yeah you finally get her again to only make it so that you NEVER have a chance to be together again?  Please.  I guess it had to be done so that we can get together with Lois and finally get Lana out of the picture.  So gar this season is been meh

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor gets a rating of 3.

Overall it was okay, but something felt just “not right”.  Could it be that it doesn’t take place in Egypt?  Maybe it’s because Evelyn isn’t played by the same person?

Nah.  Perhaps it’s because it reminded me of what was wrong with Ghostbusters 2.  The fact that they weren’t Archeologists anymore and had instead just gotten bored with life to only be pulled back in to assist their son.

Yeah that’s it.  Once they’re get back in the swing, the movie gets better.

But it’s no-where near the first two movies, which were awesome IMHO.

An American Werewolf In London

An American Werewolf In London gets a rating of 3.

Yes, I had not ever watched this movie before, which is why I added it to my Netflix Queue.

I somewhat enjoyed it.  The graphics were dated (well duh), but it was still a decent movie.

My only real complaint is the abrupt ending.  Pow!  He’s lying there, presumably dead, and the credits start rolling…

“Old school ending” I guess.

:-P

Mirrors

Mirrors gets a rating of 2.

It took me three times to finish watching Mirrors.  I fell asleep twice.  It didn’t get interesting until 1:05 into it.  It is an interesting twist if you can make it that far.  But up until that point, take some “no-doze” or drink a Grande Quad Mocha before starting it.

At least the Blu-Ray was clear…

Eagle Eye

Eagle Eye gets a rating of 4.

I am surprised at home much I liked Eagle  Eye.  If you haven’t seen the movie, stop reading now.

Yeah it was easy to figure out what was happening.  Everyone’s seen the Terminator movies.  Same thing, but how it starts in present day (but gets ended).

Overall I really enjoyed the BlueRay thanks to NetFlix.

I’d watch it again.  :-)
